ICL Express

Incoterms

ICL Express operates the shipping process under any possible incoterms and has door to door shipping solutions around the world.

Ocean shipping process

Our ocean shipping process is straightforward and all-embracing – we cover any kind of freight from ocean terminals all over the US or neighboring countries, Canada and Mexico through providing direct drayage and transloading services. Moreover, our geography is not confined to only these countries – the ICL Logistics team is capable of handling shipping throughout continents and countries like Europe, Turkey, the countries of the Middle East region, Asia and worldwide.

FCL / Full container Load

ICL covers FCL import and export shipping services all over the world. Full container load (FCL) is a type of international cargo shipping in which a single customer’s goods fill an entire shipping container. FCL shipping is typically used when a business has a large number of goods to ship or when the goods are large and require the entire capacity of a shipping container (20’, 40’). Full container shipping is a more safe way of shipping goods and matches the customer’s needs of transporting expensive commodities compared to the less than container load and / or air mode of transportation.

TYPES OF FCL OCEAN SHIPPING CONTAINERS WE SERVE

Direct Drayage

Among the services that ICL Logistics delivers, there are direct drayage, transloading, and warehousing. Direct drayage is an option whereby the cargo in a container is picked up from the port by a truck and shipped across the US to its final destination. This option is becoming less commonly utilized among shippers due to its inefficiency, though. Here’s the reason why: after being picked up from the port, the freight is transported in the same containers as it was over the ocean. The thing is, shipping in the same container on the US mainland has become extremely pricey due to the recent container availability shortage phenomenon. Following the instructions of our team, you will avoid any kind of shortage, and all of your deliveries will satisfy the parties in the supply chain.

LCL / Less container load

Less than container load (LCL) shipping is a type of international cargo shipping that allows small or medium-sized businesses to share the cost of transporting their goods by consolidating them with the cargo of other businesses into a single container. LCL shipping is an economical option for businesses that do not have enough goods to fill an entire shipping container but still need to ship their products overseas. In LCL shipping, the goods of multiple businesses are combined into a single container at a consolidation point, such as a bonded warehouse or a container freight station (CFS). LCL shipping is cheaper than air shipping but it takes up much more time
